Portal 3 Concept Storyline

Whew! This took a LONG time to do, but was awesome! This shows the scene-by-scene concept for my story on Portal. There’s a lot more to it, but I didn’t want to make you read more than necessary. Each of my other stories is like this, but not entirely the same. I hope this gets ya pumped for them!

There are lots of references not known to those unfamiliar with Portal, but if so or no feel free to ask questions about certain elements of the story in the comments!

 Storyline:

    1.     Caroline wakes and is brought up-to-speed by GLaDOS

    2.     Caroline meets Atlas and P-Body. P-Body is fascinated with humans

    3.     Memory: Caroline first meeting Cave Johnson, marrying, and starting Aperture

    4.     Caroline is shocked to see that humans are still being tested (memory of early test subjects)

    5.     Caroline escapes by taking out the locating chip in her eye. She replaces it with a core

    6.     Caroline finds Doug Rattman in the cyrosleeping chamber

    7.     Doug’s schizophrenia allows him to see Caroline as a human. He recognizes her face as Chell’s

    8.     Doug shows Caroline his painting of Chell since Caroline can’t understand him

    9.     Memory: Caroline cares about her daughter and doesn’t want Cave to test her

    10.  Memory: Little Chell is wiped of memory and is used to test new portal guns

    11.  Caroline and Ratman find tubes shooting cubes around Aperture

    12.  Caroline takes info from PBody about the location of the tube control center. Some of her memories were transferred to PBody

    13.  Ratman and Caroline hack into the tube systems and connect them to the test-subject storage area

    14.  Memory: Old Cave tests Caroline in cyrosleep before his death

    15.  Sealed test subjects are shot through tampered tubes to the surface

    16.  Enlightened by Caroline’s human memories, PBody passes through tests and impresses GLaDOS

    17.   Caroline is horrified to see that GLaDOS was bioengineering humans for testing. Caroline’s morality had before kept GLaDOS from doing this, and so Caroline was removed in order to create tests indefinitely.

    18.  Caroline builds robots in the ventilation systems. Ratman provides materials

    19.  Tampered cubes are put into tubes headed to testing areas

    20.  Memory: Caroline’s mind is transferred into GLaDOS during Doug Ratman’s time

    21.  Tampered cubes trap subjects’ heads for protection and provide instruction

    22.  All the test subjects escape. They’re protected from neurotoxin and bullets

    23.  PBody finds Ratman and gives him the portal device willingly

    24.  Using multiple PBodys’ portal devices and a giant pipe as a frame, Caroline makes a gigantic portal to connect to the Borealis

    25.  Huge robotic battle. Caroline’s robots win

    26.  The sunken Borealis. It’s giant portal is still intact

    27.  Once completed, Caroline’s giant portal connects to the Borealis and begins flooding Aperture with sea water

    28.  Caroline’s aqua-robots destroy Aperture machinery and sealed bio labs

    29.  Huge battle between mobile GLaDOS and Caroline

    30.  Monstrous Caroline seething in burning Aperture

    31.  Ratman stays with Caroline in an effort to save her from her irreversible self-destruction. Caroline regains some of her human softness in seeing his hopeless attempts.

    32.  Caroline self destructs and ignites the flooded Aperture

    33.  Destroyed GLaDOS underwater

    34.  Atlas discovers the last PBody, who is dying

    35.  Atlas travels to the surface with PBody’s memory chip

Epilogue

    1.     Test subjects are dealt with by the government

    2.     Wheatley, (following popular general fan notion) a human, finds GLaDOS’s data chip

    3.     A rebuilt P-Body wakes in Atlas’s laboratory
